WHAT IS A PASSPORT CARD?

The wallet size passport card is a travel document that can be used to enter the United States at land border crossings and sea ports-of-entry from:

  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Bermuda
  • The Caribbean

The U.S. passport card cannot be used for air travel to any international destination.

The passport card has the same period of validity as a passport book: 10 years for adults and 5 years for minors under the age of 16.   Processing times are generally the same as those of a passport book.

HOW MUCH IS A PASSPORT?
