DRIVER TESTING
The Clerk of Courts, in partnership with the Ohio BMV is opening a driver exam station at the Champaign County building located at 1512 S. US Hwy 68 Urbana, Ohio. The exam station is part of the Ohio BMV’s Third Party Class D Program. We are excited to return this service to Champaign County.
Administrative Fees for Driving Exams:
Full Test with Appointment – $40.00
- Road Test – $20.00
- Maneuverability – $20.00
Same day testing is subject to availability.
Same Day Testing, Full Test – $50.00
- Road Test – $25.00
- Maneuverability – $25.00

Drive to Succeed 2026
Drive to Succeed 2026 Grantees Announced
Four educational service centers (ESC) in Ohio will receive funding to provide driver training scholarships to eligible new drivers under age 21. The $6 million in grants is expected to fund scholarships for more than 10,000 Ohio driving students across all 88 counties.
The following ESCs will each receive $1.5 million for scholarships over the next two years:
North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (Tiffin)
East Central Ohio Educational Service Center (New Philadelphia)
Fairfield County Educational Service Center (Lancaster)
Midwest Regional Educational Service Center (Sidney)
